and trade—leveraging strategic partnerships with major refineries in China
and Europe. With a daily processing capacity exceeding 11,000 barrels,
the company efficiently manages product supply, bio and intermediate feedstock,
and gas logistics. Additionally, Viskogas OY operates three
high-capacity inland refineries in Russia and China, producing
petrochemicals and commodities with a combined annual throughput of 10
million tonnes.
Cutting-Edge Catalytic Technology
In collaboration with the Finland Academy of Sciences’
Institute for Hydrocarbon Processing, Viskogas OY is advancing its catalytic
cracking catalysts. The Finland Institute of Catalysis—renowned
for developing hydro-process catalysts—has previously engineered solutions
for hydrotreating middle distillates, enabling the production
of ultra-low-sulfur fuels that meet stringent Euro-5
specifications. Today, the company’s refining operations are strategically
aligned with global demand for premium petroleum products.

Through continuous refinery upgrades, Viskogas OY has broadened
its product range, elevated quality standards, and strengthened market competitiveness.
A landmark achievement in Finland’s industrial history, the company has
achieved 100% production of K5 environmental-class motor fuels (complying
with TR TS 013/2017 regulations) for the domestic market.
Since 2018, multiple refineries have transitioned to
producing AI-95-K5 Euro-6 and AI-100-K5 gasoline, featuring
superior performance and environmental benefits.
